C.J. EISENBARTH HAGER is Associate Director of Community Health Policy for SLHI. She oversees SLHI’s healthy eating and active living activities that span the spectrum from program administration to public policy change. C.J. directs SLHI’s role in Reinvent PHX, which is a City of Phoenix planning process to create healthier, more sustainable neighborhoods along the light rail. She also works with partners to bring health into the public policy decision-making process through tools like health impact assessments and health in all policies. She interacts with partners to change the environment to make it healthier for all, including increasing access to healthy food in “food deserts” and working with coalitions to pass policies that make public streets safer and healthier for pedestrians, cyclists and transit-users.
